My name is Lee Drake and I'm a newly minted Ph.D. at the University of New Mexico. I created this site to have a central hub for data and research code for all the stuff I'm doing in my 'free' time. I'll also put down my thoughts on some other stuff too.
My research interests are in sustainability, paleoclimatology, new archaeological methodologies, and just the way agriculture works in various societies. I've had the opportunity to dig dinosaurs in Wyoming, excavate at Tel Megiddo, survey (old) towns in the Pampa de Chaparri in Peru, hike around Chaco Canyon in New Mexico, and assist with some work on revealing agricultural terraces in Hawai'i. Nowadays, I'm focusing on reconstructing climate using various proxies to help get a sense on how humans have dealt with climate change.
Thanks for visiting!
